This part will be filled with some experiences I have related to architecture, including all kinds of them such as visits, films or even conversations.

The first one I want to talk is the experiences I’ve had while travelling. The first time I notice the importance of architecture concepts was in fact the first time I traveled by plane (from Valencia to Santander). The thing is that I looked through the window and I reflected about the power that perspective has in our lives. If you have been in the same situation at least once in lifetime you will identify the sensation which I’m talking about, because that is the most unnatural way we can see our environment, from kilometers above. When I saw all the villages and cities as a plane and I lost the perception of vertical distances I realized about the importance of this aspect in our lifes.

The other experience I had while travelling can be summed in all the curious buildings I have seen while passing by them. In fact, I have created an specific mark-label in Google Maps to locate all this buildings that are more strange that spectacular.

41.774440, -1.114411

This is one example, where I found interesting the way they built all the walls to provide a huge ventilation system.

There’s also a change in the way you see the buildings of the films and series you watch. In my case I found the buildings in the Lord of the Rings really beautiful and I wondered if that kind of buildings would be an inspiration for some future projects where the architects mix fantasy with reality.

Reading is a really important part of the subject. Nowadays I’m reading a book in Spanish called “Arquitectura – Forma, Espacio y Orden” , and I love all the new things I’m learning about those three basic but so important concepts.
